<p>The <a href='https://comptroller.defense.gov/Portals/45/Documents/defbudget/FY2023/FY2023_Pacific_Deterrence_Initiative.pdf'><span class="caps">FY 2023</span> Pacific Deterrence Initiative</a> is a $6.1 billion subset of the Department of Defense’s <span class="caps">FY 2023</span> budget.</p>
